Zac James is a worship leader, songwriter, composer and award winning sound designer who is passionate about developing worship leaders & teams, as well as creating music for video games, films, trailers, apps and other media at a private studio in Westerville, OH.

Zac recently finished his time as the Worship & Creative Arts Director at Quest Community Church in Westerville, OH, transitioning 4 worship leaders he developed to take a joint worship leading role. Before coming to Quest, Zac led worship for VGF, a 1400+ congregation, 16-18 weekends/year in Newark, OH, as well as interim at ReyNaz in Reynoldsburg, OH. His song “King of Heaven” appeared on VGF Creative’s “Night of Worship EP” and received radio airplay in the Columbus, OH area. As the founder of Encounter, he started a student-led worship service at Cedarville University which was integrated into the Worship major curriculum and the class Worship Practicum.

Zac is able to play and perform a variety of instruments at a professional level in live and studio settings, including lead/harmony vocals, piano, drums, acoustic, electric and bass guitars, cajon and other auxillary percussion instruments. He is passionate about worship ministry, and uses his personal experience in all areas of worship ministry to actively pursue opportunities to mentor worship leaders & develop individuals to serve in worship teams. In 2017, he spoke at University of Findlay, and worked with their “Revive” ministry on strategic planning for developing future ministry.

His touring/album credits include over 500 theater shows with Wendy and the James Gang from 2000-2007 (“God Loves You” & “Song of the King”), 200+ concerts/services with HeartSong from Cedarville University from 2009-2012 (“Healed”, “Generation” & “HeartSong Live 2012″) and VGF Creative 2014 (“Night of Worship EP”).

In his spare time, Zac loves spending time with his wife Kaitie playing video games, as well as church ministry, and spending time with extended family.
